To participate in our challenging safaris you must be riding fit. These are fast-paced rides with lots of long canters and occasional gallops. To enjoy the safari, and for the safety of all participants - particularly the horses - you should be comfortable and in control at all paces. You should be balanced in the saddle and fit enough to sustain an independent, light (two-point) seat for 5 - 7 hours riding a day. We have a strict weight limit of under 85 kg (in riding gear) per horse. A surcharge applies for an extra horse if you are between 85 and 95 kg. We ride in a cross between an Australian stock and an endurance saddle - see our Gallery for an image of the saddle.
