Namibia has many natural assets, not least of these are its dramatic landforms.  Damaraland is remote, inaccessible and rugged wilderness - yet etched with poignantly delicate colours. This safari is from Twyfelfontein to the Skeleton Coast - the sheer remoteness of this challenging horse riding safari makes it unsuitable for inexperienced riders since encounters with elephant, rhino and even lion are possible. On the other hand, this could be the most thrilling riding adventure of your life!

Arrive in Windhoek on day one, transfer, overnight accommodation and dinner arranged for you.  Meet your guide, Andrew Gillies and fellow adventurers for briefing, sundowners and dinner.

Day two is transfer and excursion day, arriving at our camp in the ephemeral Aba-Huab river where you meet horses and crew.  Our excursion is to the Twyfelfontein Petroglyphs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.   Dinner is around a companionable campfire and sleeping under a million stars

Your riding adventure begins down the dry river bed passing under some magnificent Ana trees - the desert elephant love the seed pods of these trees.

Crossing the mountains - great view from our campsite on the top, appropriately named Viewpoint - we drop down into the Ugab ephemeral river.  A day is spent riding down this river before beginning our (much faster riding) across the vastness and increasing aridity of the coastal plains.

Finally, as we reach the Atlantic ocean and our comfortable seaside accommodation in Henties Bay

Last day of your safari is a transfer from the coast to Windhoek International Airport arriving in time for flights departing after 15:00.
