The infamous Skeleton Coast has huge appeal for those seeking extraordinary landscapes - some are hard to forget.  Littered with the hulks of wrecked ships and colonies of Cape Fur Seals, this coastline has some rich tales to tell.

Arrive in Windhoek on day one, transfer, overnight accommodation and dinner arranged for you.  Meet your guide, Andrew Gillies and fellow adventurers for briefing, sundowners and dinner.

Transfer to the coast with lunch en-route in Swakopmund and visit to a Cape Fur Seal colony before meeting the horses, crew and roaring Atlantic surf at our seaside campsite.  Our first riding day begins with a saddling briefing and getting acquainted with your horse and this extraordinary terrain.

The colour of the landscape changes all the time and the pace quickens as the arid terrain allows - the coastal plains offer plenty of opportunity for long canters as well as a flat-out gallop or two.  Come riding fit!

We return to the Atlantic ocean again and to our comfortable seaside accommodation in Henties Bay

Last day of your safari is a transfer from the coast to Windhoek International Airport arriving in time for flights departing after 15:00

Our shorter Skeleton Damara Safari being 7 instead of 11 days follows the same route, just leaving out camping on the edge of the Messum Crater, although we do still ride through the massive crater.
