Skeleton Damara Safari
From Walvis Bay back to Windhoek: 11 days, 10 nights -
first and last night lodged, 8 nights camping under the stars.
9th Oct: Arrive Walvis Bay airport, transfer to hotel in Swakopmund, sundowners and dinner with
your guide, Andrew Gillies
10th Oct: Depart Swakopmund to our lunch spot on the Skeleton Coast with a visit to the lichen fields
and a shipwreck en-route. Lunch in camp, saddle up and ride to first overnight camp.
11 - 17th Oct There is an easy rhythm to camp life with memorable evenings around the campfire, making new friends, sleeping under the stars. This is a little bit of Heaven on Earth.
From the Ugab River to Leeuwkop (lions head) in this landscape of undulating, multicoloured
and interesting geology. Some of the best going anywhere on the planet - so expect lots of
fast riding! Descent into the lower reaches of the Ugab river before reaching the lichen-
covered coastal plains of the Skeleton Coast. Last night (18th) in a luxury beach house.
19th Oct: Transfer to Windhoek International Airport for flights around 15:00

Internet: Consider yourself ‘unplugged’ while on safari – cell-phone reception is minimal at best and internet not at all except in cities and larger towns. There are 12 volt usb chargers in our vehicles for small devices, it cannot charge power-packs.
Laundry: Water is a very precious commodity in a desert so while it is possible to rinse a few smalls while on safari, only lodges and hotels have laundry service. See our packing list for our recommendations on what to bring.
Insurance: Having comprehensive medical insurance is a condition for riding with us. You will be required to sign an indemnity which assumes you have read our Riding Policy in which you will discover we take the well-being of our horses very seriously. For their sake, please be accurate about your weight, riding ability and fitness.

Rate Includes: Riding, accommodation, Meals and drinks on the ride – excluded are drinks at lodges/hotels. Ground transfers from Windhoek Int Airport
Rate Excludes: Extra horse charge for riders 85 kg or over (in riding gear), and if you choose not to share accommodation or require a single tent. For our horses sake, please be accurate about weight.
Personal drinks and refreshments at lodges/restaurants.
